The Opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team at BEworks! Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations, the Finance Manager will support the Finance department by managing the day-to-day finance and accounting activities, ensuring the timely delivery of financial data and reporting, and ensuring processes are continually operating with best practices.

Duties

Financial Forecasting and Planning

  • Lead the annual budget process, forecasting and projections.

  • Work with other team members to understand and define appropriate actions to achieve the company goals and growth objectives.

  • Lead and provide financial decision support, including key trends, metrics and business drivers to inform decision-making in support of achieving operational and strategic objectives.

  • Act as a key partner to assigned business leaders and executives to develop financial analysis to support the strategic and operational planning process

  • Analyze financial information to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes;

Accounting and Internal Control

  • Manage the preparation of financial reporting under ASPE and IFRS.

  • Stay abreast of accounting changes and provide consistent compliance with generally accepted accounting principles as well as KYU group policies and procedures

  • Provide any ad-hoc reporting or analyses

  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of financial and management reporting and timely issuance of financial statements in accordance with corporate calendar;

  • Maintain and improve internal Controls to ensure that they are in compliance with ASPE. IFRS, KYU group standards and applicable local regulatory laws and rules;

  • Manage the issuance of financial information

  • Manage the company's relationship with its outside accounting firms (KPMG and Fuller Landlau}

  • Ensure that record keeping and financial and tax information meets all legal and regulatory requirements;

Treasury

  • Provide regular cash flow feedback and reporting to the CEO and shareholders (KYU)

  • Optimize cashflow to maintain healthy Cash position

  • Provide reporting requirements to the bank per the loan facility agreement (notice to readers, AR aging and AP Aging as requested)

Strategy-External

  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations on an ongoing basis

  • Conduct research for business requirements relating to geographic expansion to include macro conditions. locality considerations, growth opportunities and barriers, compliance requirements (with Finance), cost/benefit analysis, labor factors, operational requirements, oversight and management requirements

Operations

  • Identify, assess, and forecast strategic risks, opportunities, and weaknesses for the firm and departments at the micro and macro level

  • Oversight and communication of firm departmental operations

Requirements:

  • Post secondary education in Finance or accounting

  • 7+ years of experience in managing day to day accounting and finance activities

  • Experience with international financial accounting is a strong asset

  • Strong knowledge of account standards and best practices

  • Experience with intercompany account reconciliation

  • Experience with Airtable and working with a Project Manager team to forecast pipeline revenue

  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial and accounting software; experience with Sage and Maconomy is required

  • Experience with board software for intergroup consolidation

  • Experienced with payroll software implementation and payroll management

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to translate financial information and present to senior management
